Pezones invertidos
Los pezones invertidos son aquellos que lejos de salir hacia fuera de la mama, se quedan al rado o incluso hacia dentro:
Solamente un pequeño porcentaje de las mujeres tiene algún pezón invertido, pero aún así no es algo tan extraño de encontrar. A veces es de nacimiento, otras veces aparecen debido a enfermedades o a algún tipo de operación. Normalmente el problema no va más allá de la estética hasta que se llega a la lactancia, en ese momento sí que es un problema para dar el pecho al bebé.
Este fenómeno muchas veces solo aparece en uno de los pezones, mientras que el otro sigue teniendo la estética normal. El pezón invertido no se pone erecto mientras que el otro sí, esto puede resultar una imágen un poco extraña.
Existen varias formas de tratar este problema:
Ejercicios de Hoffman: Este ejercicio hay que practicarlo de dos a tres veces al día, consiste en coger el pezón con los dedos y estirarlo suavemente hacia fuera, manteniéndolo así unos segundos. Algunos médicos dicen que estos ejercicios puede tener algunos riesgos como dañar la areola o provocar un parto prematuro en caso de estar embarazada.
Escudos formadores: Estos escudos se lleban dentro del sujetador, constan de una anilla que se pone al rededor de la areola y el pezón sale por el orificio central:
El Niplette: Es un aparatito succionador que consiste en un caperuzón con forma de dedal con una pestaña que permite su cierre adherido a una válvula y a una jeringuilla. Gracias a una succión suave, con el Niplette el pezón es sacado dentro del caperuzón. El grado de succión es controlado por la misma mujer.
Cirugía: Evidentemente con la cirugía se puede arreglar todo, aunque ya se sabe que cualquier intervención quirúrgica tiene sus riesgos y sus elevados costes económicos.
